This
document is a letter written in November 1945 by Ies and Lien Cassuto
to their daughter in law Puck (Raymi) Cassuto-van Zuiden, wife of Max
Cassuto Izn ,my father, our grandfather/uncle, just after the end of the
pacific war. This letter is the first endeavour to make contact after
the war, but didn't get to Puck, who with her mother and her son Rob had
been liberated from the Japanese camps and was staying at the time in
Bandung on the isle of Java. The letter - after many wanderings - eventually
was delivered to Max in Calcutta. The letter is in Dutch - written in theso
called "old spelling" - and when I have time I may produce an
English translation.

2 nov. '45 ![]() Lieve Puckje, view
the marked cover of this letter Ik schrijf
